’Tis the season to be busy! Activities and events happen all December long in Bartlett, as well as for those who call The Oaks at Bartlett their home. Keep reading to hear about all the fun we’ve been having this holiday season, and learn more about some annual holiday events that happen right here in Bartlett, Illinois.

Cozy Up at the Cocoa Crawl

Hosted by the Bartlett Area Chamber of Commerce, the annual Cocoa Crawl has something for family members of every age. The event happens each year on a Saturday in December, and the Cocoa Crawl is a great way to support local businesses and sample cocoa beverages – some hot, some cold, and even some for those 21 years and older.

Tickets include a passport book that covers the cost of your cocoa drinks, a souvenir mug for each paying adult, and a map of the participating vendor locations. This year, the team at The Oaks at Bartlett participated as well, and a great time was had by all.

A Jazz-Inspired Nutcracker Ballet

An annual event presented by the Bartlett Park District and Lisa’s School of Dance, this modern take on a classic is a fun, family-friendly experience. The run time is 90 minutes, so it’s the ideal length for little ones.

Watch Clara, the Nutcracker, the Mouse King, and the Sugar Plum Fairy tell their beloved story set to a jazzy version of Tchaikovsky’s iconic score at “The Nutcracker: All Jazzed Up.” Mark your calendars now for next year to make sure and secure your tickets.
